Hi, my name is Dr. Carolyn Garcia, and I am a Veterinarian at Pebble Maryland Animal Hospital. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy cooking, traveling, working out, and spending time with my husband and our two boys, exploring new places and making memories together. Our four-legged family includes Hazel Bean, a Chihuahua mix who comes to the clinic with me every day and happily soaks up attention from staff and clients, and Roux, our sassy cat. Roux was abandoned at the clinic during my first year there in 2013 and has since settled comfortably into her role as Queen Bee of the house.
Favorite Part of My Job
I feel incredibly fortunate to have a career that allows me to care for animals while building lasting relationships with their families. Knowing how much pets mean to the people who love them, I strive to treat every patient with the same compassion and care I would want for my own pets.
Why I Chose This Profession
I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. With a lifelong love of animals and a passion for medicine, I knew from a young age that veterinary medicine was the perfect way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of both pets and the people who love them.
Education
I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University in 2013.
Professional Background
I especially enjoy soft tissue surgery and internal medicine, including the challenge of working through complex cases. My approach to patient care centers on treating every pet as an individual while making sure their family feels heard, informed, and supported. I combine evidence-based medicine with compassion and clear communication, working closely with clients so they feel confident in the decisions we make together for their pets.
